Disabling F1 key

Almost every other time that I want to activate the F2 key
(edit cell), I accidently sstrike the F1 key(help). After
about 10 seconds, the help screen opens and I then close
it. How can I disable or deactivate the F1 key to rid
myself of this pain in the ____? Thanks for the help
anyone.

Maybe you could a line or two to your personal.xls (auto_open/workbook_open
procedure):

Option Explicit
Sub disableF1()
Application.OnKey "{f1}", ""
End Sub
Sub enableF1()
Application.OnKey "{f1}"
End Sub
