Disabling Import Web Feature in FP?

I build sites for schools using purchased themes (all housed on a server
directly at the school board). To date, I've had three sites imported and
reworked by various groups connected to the schools for their specific
reasons. I explain to them that this is illegal (since I used purchased
themes) and all have acquiesced and stopped using them. However, is there any
way I can prevent people from doing this in the first place (such as a
password)? Is there something I can request of the IT Manager who oversees
the FP server?

Not really. When the pages are viewed, the contents are already in the visitors machine.
Additionally, all a visitor has to do when viewing the page is: on the IE toolbar, click
File > Save As and select "Web page"
and the page and it's components are saved to their machine.

FP Import is no different than using File Save as in Browser
- it just does it for all pages linked to the start page

Yes, this can be blocked, but it depends on what server-side scripting language is supported by your
server and your willingness to rename all pages to have a .asp or .php extension, etc.

FYI, blocking FP will not stop users from using other Offline Web browsing application that do the
same thing. However even when a user imports a FP web they do not get the actual theme/template
files, only what is seen when the page is viewed in a browser.

if the other factions are using the "theme" as a component of the main web,
i.e. on the same domain, it's probably not illegal.

Appreciate the help from everyone who responded; at least I know there's not
a whole lot I can do about it. btw, Chris - The other sites are not on the
same domain or server and thus my explanation they need to stop using the
theme or else pay for a second license (not even touching the moral issue).

Thanks!
