Disallow users from deleting meeting requests in Outlook XP

Hi,

I have a problem with my users as some of them
accidentally delete update meeting requests which removes
the original appointment from their calandar.

Is there a way to warn a user that they have not
responded to a requests if they attemp to delete it? I
was sure previous versions of Outlook warned users in
this way?
