Disappearing Appointments When Exchange Sync

I have begun to use a commercial service that hosts Exchange. I have
successfully set up the Exchange connection. I am using Outlook 2003 SP2 in
Windows XP Professional.

When I import my calendar appointments into the Exchange profile (exported
using a .pst file from my local appointments), most of my appointments are
automatically deleted. I have looked for a pattern to the deleted
appointments and see a range from appointments for tomorrow, to re-curring
holiday appointments.

Is this a local setting on my end that needs to be adjusted.

Your help is apreciated.
