The strangest thing has started occurring on just one installation....Using
outlook 2000, with all the most current updates and patches. The user is
using word as the email editor, and for no apparent reason, or at least one
that can be tracked or logged, she will come back into the office, and
create a new email message, only to find that her autosignature has
disappeared.
This can be easily fixed by logging off and on again, but if you don't do
that, it is like wordmail has completely gone amnesiatic (or rather the
email.dot has forgotten all the settings. Once you log into outlook again,
you have it there.
I have tried both a fresh copy of normal.dot and email.dot, but it still
occurs, sometimes after a few hours, sometimes a few days, but for sure no
other scenario happens on the machine that coincides with the disappearance.
Any insight or guidance to another source of information would be helpful.
