Disappearing e-mails

Help!!! Can anyone tell me where my e-mails are going to and how to stop it????
I've just reset my computer and reinstalled Outlook 2007. Now when I get an
e-mail and read it it disappears when I either move on to another unread
e-mail or when I shut Outlook down. Preveiously they remained i the inbox
until I decided what to do with them.
Any suggestions as to where they go and how to stop it.? I have to search
all e-mails to recover them at the moment.

Check your View setting. View-Current View. Make sure that messages and NOT
unread messages is the chosen view.
