Disappearing email

After reading email and exiting inbox my messages disappear? When I go back
to the inbox the read messages are all gone except for the unread ones.

If you look at the status bar, does it say Filter applied? It sounds like
you have a filter to only show unread messages.

Check your VIEW for a FILTERED VIEW.

Select VIEW on your Outlook menu.
Select ARRANGE BY
Select CURRENT VIEW
Then be sure that the MESSAGES view is selected.
