Disappearing emails

I have a user that has a problem with outlook. Her Outlook
froze when she closed a new email she had just read, when
it started responding again all her Inbox was empty. Now
when she receives a new email, it goes into her inbox as
usual, she opens it, reads it, then when she closes it, it
disappears. They are not going to deleted items and as far
as I can see there is no auto archiving. Please help it's
driving me mad!

Check for a view that hides read items. (or start outlook 1 time with the
/cleanviews command line switch to delete all custom views and reset the
default ones back to first run condition.)

Have you checked for any rukes that might be permanently deleting emails?
