Disappearing MathType Equations

What I'm using: Mac Pro running OS10.5.5; PowerPoint 12.1.4; MathType
6.0

The Problem: I create a presentation with MathType 6.0 equations.
Equations are copied from MathType and pasted into my PowerPoint
presentations. Problem: The equations disappear when I run my
presentation under Windows (Office 2007 using either Vista or the last
version of XP).

I found that if I copy and paste my equations as a pdf this fixes the
problem. But, I then have to recreate the entire equation again if I
want to make changes.

Ed, this is a problem Microsoft is aware of; I don't know if a fix is
on the horizon. We've been able to duplicate the issue, but it seems
to happen only when creating the presentation in Office 2008 and
saving it as a pptx file. Try saving it as a ppt file and see if that
changes anything.
