Disappearing Messages, Draft Folder Not working

Re: Outlook 2003 SP1 on WXP Pro SP2 (PST is under 1GB)

I am starting to get really nervous about my Outlook PST file. I have run
Scanpst.exe and it found and fixed a number of errors. However, the
following symptoms are still present:

1. If it is set to save drafts in Drafts - they disappear and are not saved.
If it is set to save to Inbox it works.
2. When viewing the Deleted Items Folder, if you open a message then close
it, it is GONE - no where to be found.
3. In Search Folders - again if you open a message then close it, it is
permanently deleted.

Am I the only one having this problem?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you follow the previous instructions and check your View settings? Go to
View, Arrange by, Current View and make sure Messages is selected.

Sorry, yes I responded in the separate thread that I had checked that and it
is set for Messages with Autopreview (and filters are OFF).

I started a separate post as the problem is bigger with the disappearing
messages, and continues despite having run Scanpst.exe and corrected errors.

Thanks for checking though.

That is wrong--you have to reset it to just Messages (the top selection.) The
auto preview is set separately on the toolbar not in the View. Change it now
& problem will be solved.

Sorry, I am using OL 2003 - it has the setting for Messages with Autopreview.

In any event, I changed it to Messages as you suggest. Problem is NOT solved.

Sorry, can't figure out how to send an image, otherwise I would post an
image of my menu.

But if I understand you right, you suggested I click on the folder in
question, then click on View, Arrange by, Current View, Messages. I have
tried that and nothing changes.

Interesting - it saves it to Drafts, but as soon as I close the message -
that is when it disappears out of Drafts, and does NOT go to Deleted Items -
it disappears. When I then check folder size it is zero.
