Disappearing Tables

Karen

When I open Access 2002 and open up the database window,
the toolbar on the left has tables selected. I have
several tables in my database, but they are not visible.
When i go click on another object like Macros, it shows
all my macros, and then if i go click again back on
tables, then all my tables come up and are visible now.
The problem i have is why are all my tables not showing
up when i open Access? its only when i click on other
objects and then go back and click on tables, that i am
able to see all my tables. Any suggestions?

Hi Karen

If there is no other suggestion that your database is corrupt, I'm guessing
that this is just a display issue. If you are running Windows XP, try
turning off Themes. Right-click your Windows desktop, choose Properties, and
on the Themes tab choose "Windows Classic".

If that does not solve the problem, try disabling the hardware acceleration
on your display card. In the Display Properties dialog, choose the Settings
tab, then the Advanced button. On the Troubleshoot tab, set Hardware
Acceleration to None. If this solves the problem, you need to update your
video driver.

I doubt that Name AutoCorrect is causing this problem, but it would also be
a good idea to uncheck the boxes in Access under Tools | Options | General |
Name AutoCorrect. For an explanation of why, see:
