disappearing text

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

I created several documents in Word, using text boxes for the text and one clip art image inserted at the top. Now when I open the documents, I can see no text at all, only the clip art. When I look at the document in "Print Preview" I can see the text, so I know it's there. I just can't see it in any other views (normal, page layout, etc.)

Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

Hi Regina -

Take a look in Word> Preferences> View where you'll most likely find that
the check has been removed for Drawings. Restore the check.

Hi Bob,

That worked! Thank you so much. I can't tell you how long I tried to figure this out before I posted my message.

Appreciate the help,

Regina
