DISASTER - where is my file?

W

Why me?

Last night I opened a Word 2003 attachment from Outlook Express. I worked on
the doucment for 5+ hours, clicked the "save" button several times, but never
changed the file location. I'm afraid that the file was saved to a now
removed temp folder, becuase I can't find it, even after following Supoort's
suggestions on locating a lost document. Any suggestions?

If you opened it directly from the message, you were indeed working on a
temp copy. Unwise to work that way - always save the attachment to your hard
drive, open it in the application manually, and work on it there.

That said - if it isn't in any of your temp folders, it's probably gone -
did you search hidden/system folders as well?

Note also that this is an Outlook group, not an Outlook Express group for
future reference.
