Discussion group template

I just finished making a web using the subject template. It would serve my
simply needs just fine except for one issue.

When posting, if one enters more than one space, a tab, a CR or LF the
program truncates/sets those formatting items back to a single space.

Is there an option somewhere that I've missed?

Maybe - even a better question - are there other Discussion Group
templates/addins available for FP use?

Welllllllll - Stefan. Your KB article cured the formatting problem with the
FP discussion web but it also caused a new problem.

Now, when entering text into the Form Textbox I now MUST use a CR at the end
of each line or else when the message is redisplayed in the message view
window the text is not wordwrapped!

I can make the code available if their is anyone here that can decipher it
and make any recommendations!

That's the way the <pre> tag works
- nothing you can do to change it

Thanks again Stefan.

I guess I could put a little notice on the edge of the message input box
asking folks to hit the CR at the end of each line and leave the format set
to PRE, OR a little explanation on the message result (view) about the lack
of formatting and leave it set at BR.

OR

I note that my web host provider has a preinstalled cgi script for a BBS.
The trouble I've had with that is it's generic - black and white, simple
text formatting, etc. - and I don't know how to change the code. Every time
I try a simple change and save the file and go to that page I then get a not
found error.
