Is there a way to automatically email the person that posted a message when a new reply gets posted in a discussion group.

It depends on what newsreader you're using. If it's Outlook or Outlook
Express, yes. However, be advised that it is not generally a good idea. Most
MVPs, for example, get so much email that they tend to ignore email replies
from newsgroup postings.

Hrmm, I read the OP's question as having more to do with the Discussion
Webs that you can build in Frontpage, as opposed to reading Usenet
newsgroups. Unfortunately, I know nothing about the discussion webs that
Frontpage builds, so I don't know if what the OP is asking is possible.
Then again, I may be reading the question wrong.

Well, now that you mention it, I do believe you're right! Unfortunately,
that's not my area of expertise.

Not possible, the only function that can be added, is the ability of the
site/web owner to receive an email when a post is made to the discussion
web. FP can only send email to an email address that has already been hard
coded in to a form.
