Display All Tasks For Multiple Projects for a Single Resource

Meghan

I posted this in "general" yesterday but as we will be
using Professional and Server, someone suggeted I also
post here.

I hope this is an easy one and I'm just missing it in the
books:

I need a way to display all the tasks (preferably by end
date) from all the projects assigned to a single resource
in a calendar format. Purpose: MaryJane needs to know that
a task for project X is due on Thursday so she prioritizes
that task over the one due on Friday for project Z. I
would love to see it in a gantt or some other visual
layout but I'll settle for a calendar of any kind!

Can Project 2003 do this or am I trying to make it do
something it can't?

Thanks for your help!!!

Meghan:

Once you implement Project Server 2003, your users can use the Outlook
integration to push their tasks to the Outlook calendar, resulting in
exactly what you're looking for. Each resource can control this themselves.

To do this for someone using Project, Open a new project that will serve as
a temporary master project. Insert all the projects your resource is
assigned to into the temp master, expand the projects, apply a filter on the
specific resource and apply the calendar view.

That was very helpful (actually almost exactly what I was
looking for) but...how do I group all of MaryJane's tasks
together across projects THEN display John's THEN display
Paul's in a single document?

This was not in the original question - I apologize.
