Display as Icon in word

Dear All,
I have a problem with Word 2003. everybody knows that the option we can
insert another object and we can display that file as an icon in the word
document. we can open the attachment directly from the word document itself.

Open office go to Insert > Object > select a word file check the tick
display as Icon .

now we can see the file is displayed in the word document.

Problem : the word document will open without any problem , but the object
added and displayed as Icon, when opening that file (That is also a word
document ) from the word document my system is going to the blue death screen.

I am using Windows XP service pack 2 as Operating System.

Please help me to solve the issue.

Sorry the problem is when printing the file with an attached object, not
while opening.
