Display hidden lines as dashed

I am using Office Visio Pro 2003 to make a simple two dimensional drawing of
an assembly of objects. Sometimes an object partially fits inside another
object, and I want to display the hidden lines of a shape as dashed lines.
Can this be done with VISIO? I am guessing that layers are used to do this,
but I am not sure.

Any comments or pointers will be appreciated.

john,
you might be able to do this if each 'layer' used a different line type and
made sure that they didn't have a fill (i.e. a transparent center).

Thanks for your suggestion. It looks like I can accomplish my goal by
creating a new layer called Hidden, and put the dashed lines on this layer.
So far, it looks like this may work.
