Display Task Unique ID in a Project Server View

R Schmidt

Hello all. I would like to display each task's unique ID in a Project Server
project view, but to-date have not been successful. Here's what I've tried:
1) Adding the field in the Manage Views. Unique ID isn't an option. ID is
an option, but this appears to be the task ID that will be changed, if the
task is moved.

2) Tried adding a custom field (Number1), with a formula = [Unique ID]
.. The unique ID is displayed in MS Office Project, but when the Number1 is
displayed in the project server view (after adding it via Manage views), the
field is blank.

3) Tried adding the field to the "Enterprise" fields, and also adding it to
the Project Server view. Same result - blank when displayed in Server view.

Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks,
Rob S

Hi Rob,

when adding the custom field to a view, you will need to publish at least
one Project to make the view value visible in the Project Web Access view. (
Please note you will only see the value in the published field).

In order to display the values in all Projects you will need to open each
project, recalculate and publish each project, then you should see the value
you are after for all Projects.

Hope this helps
