Display zero at the begnning of a number sequence in Excel

How do you format cells so that zero is displayed when it is at the begining
of a number sequence? Example: 031461 displays as 31461. I need the 0 at the
begining of the sequence to be displayed as well, but Excel hides it
automatically.

Hi

You could format the cell as text - but this means you can't use it for
calculations. An alternative is to use a custom format of 000000 - which
will then display 6 digits including leading zeroes if necessary.

There's a couple of ways

1). Format cell as text
2). Enter a ' before text
3). Format cell as "0"General
4). If a mobile Number leave a gap 07777 777777
