Displaying Data in Custom Fields

I am new to Project Server and need basic step by step on adding columns to a
project plan that can be viewed in PWA. I have created a project plan in MS
Project Professional 2007 using the default Gantt view and not as an
Enterprise Global template.

Added a column called Month and input data, 1, 2, 3. Added column to
Enterprise.

In PWA I can add the column to a view in My Assignments and see the column
but the data in the Microsoft Project Plan does not show up in the My
Assignments column.

I have read alot of the posts and am not sure which step I am missing.

In the future, please tell us what version of Project Server you are using.
2002, 2003, or 2007? If you are using 2003, refer to the following FAQ:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/ProjectServerFAQKnowledgeBase/changetimesheet.aspx

If you are using 2007, complete the following steps:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions.
2. Click Server Settings - Enterprise Custom Field Definition.
3. Click the name of the custom field you created to open it in editing
mode.
4. In the Calculation for Assignment Rows section, select the "Roll down,
unless manually specified" option.
5. Click the Save button.

Hope this helps.

Dale - yes it is 2007 - I tried the suggestion below based on prior posts and
tried again now creating a brand new custom field but the data still does not
display in the column under My Assignments.

Have you tried publishing a project since completing those steps? If not,
try it to see if the values appear. Let us know the results.
