Displaying High Level Milestones at the Project Level

I am attempting to build a project dashboard using a project center view with
a number of enterprise fields. I would also like to display the milestones
at the stage level of the project plan (e.g Assessment Complete, Development
Complete, Testing Complete, etc.). The only way I have determined to display
this type of info is by using enterprise date fiels; however, this has to be
updated manually. Is there a way to have this data display and be dynamic so
that if the milestone date changes it is reflected in my "Dashboard" view at
the project level?

the way we've dealt with this is to have a standard template with set
milestones, and wrote custom reports to only pull the data for those
specific summary tasks

another method that might be helpful is to use the "Roll up milestone
to top" option, but i don't know if this setting holds for in web views
