Displaying Indicators in the web server

How do I get the Indicator icons (check mark for completed, notes, email) to display on the web server?

Sandy:

As far as I know, check marks and notes icons already appear in Project Web
Access when applicable. Not sure what you mean by any of this, especially
"email" indicator.

We have a project that has many notes, and check marks in the project file .mpp. However, on the Project web server the team members cannot see any of the notes or check mark icons. In the column where the "i" is nothing appears there. We did a publish all and still do not see the icons. Maybe we are trying to use the notes incorrectly as this is our way of communicating to each other exactly what happened on the predecessor step. And the check mark means the predecessor step was completed of course so that is important to us as well.
Have we published this incorrectly or is there some other setting that enables this field?
I appreciate your help. If you know of anyone that we could hire for some in house training that would be great...

Sandy:

Notes in the task sheet are attached on the assignment level, not the task
level. These display only on the resource's View my tasks page and the PM's
Update page. These notes provide a mechanism for communications between the
resource and the PM. Other resources can't see the notes added by the first
resource.

Gary thanks for your quick response. I understand how it is supposed to work, but we cannot get the notes to show up at all. That is my problem. Only the PM can see the notes.

Sandy:

Read my post again: You can't add notes in Project and expect them to showup
in the timesheet. The notes on the View my Tasks page are visible only in
the Updates page and the timesheet for the specific resource to which the
assignment was made.
