Displaying information in Document using VBA

I am retrieving data from a SQL database, what methods are there available
of displaying the returned recordset within the word document. I guess I
could use bookmarks, to display at the required position within the
document, but I am interested in any other methods available. Can any one
advise ?

One of Word's strengths is also one of its greatest weaknesses, there are oh
so many ways to do a task.

Best way depends on lots of specific details for the particular app.
