Displaying navigation Hierarchy view

I am wanting to view the hierarchy structure of my web
site in FrontPage 2002, but when I click on navigation it
shows me a "block" out in the center of the view with the
message "This view shows the navigation structure of your
web. To automatically add navigation buttons to these
pages choose Shard Borders on the format menu.". What do I
have to do to generate this view automatically?

Thanks in advance for any help.

One way to do it:
With the web open click View, and then click Hyperlinks.

You're thinking about it backward, I believe. The idea of the navigation
view is that you CREATE the navigation in it by dragging and dropping
pages into the navigation view to reflect how you want the hierarchy of
your site to be. That tells FP how to organize navigation links and
buttons.
