displaying records on subform

i have this training database i am working on...

i am thinking of displaying the training schedule records from my query to a
subform. Of course, when i open my main form, i want the current training
schedule for this month to be the default display on my subform and if they
want to see next month's records, they have to do something like:

- selecting training month from a combo box
- click on text link and will open a pop up form that will let user input
date range from - to and a command button to display it on the subform.
- or any suggestions?
- can you help me this and how to i get this?
