Displaying Successors in Project Task List

Steve

We are trying to figure out how to display the name of the successor for a
task in the project task list. In other words, when people view their
tasks, we want them to be able to see who should be notified to take over
the project when the task is completed.

Any ideas?

I should mention that we have tried adding the 'successors' under Admin >
Manage Views > Timesheet > Modify View. However, the changes never seemed
to make a difference or take affect.

Thanks for any help!

The best approach to handling your situation is to give team members access
to their projects in the Project Center and detailed Project views in PWA.
Your Project Server administrator could grant them permission to see the
Summary view in both the Project Center and Project views, for example.
Alternately, your PS administrator could create a custom detailed Project
view that shows the Task Name column immediately followed by the Resource
Names column, and then grant team members access to this View. Using either
the standard Summary view or the custom view, your team members could see
the position of their tasks in the overall project plan, and could see who
is assigned to successor tasks. Hope this helps.
