Distribution list buttons greyed out

N

Nancy

I have a couple of distribution lists in Oulook 2002.
When I single click on them in my folder list, it shows
every person on the list in the Preview Pane. And it
shows the buttons Select Members, Add New, Remove and
Update Now, right above the preview pane. However they
are greyed out. I can't use those functions there only
when I click on the list and open it. why is this?
Thanks!

DL's have to be open if you want to modify them.
I don't understand how or where you are "previewing" a DL. What do you mean
by your "folder list?"

I'm afraid you lost me. I dont know what you mean
by "information store" and OWA. How can my copy look
different than anyone elses? I do remember having trouble
with my contacts when I went from the older Outlook to
the 2002 version. I guess if its not supposed to let me
do what I'm wanting anyway I won't worry about it. Just
wish I knew why mine is different.

Thanks so much Russ.

I don't recognize that view. What version of Outlook and what information
store?
DL's should appear as a Contact Item in a Contacts Folder. They do not
appear in any Folder List I've seen. Is this OWA?

Information store means where your Outlook data resides: on Exchange Server
or a local PST file. Tell me what version you are using and what kind of
mail account you have. We can figure it out.
