Hello

Just when I thought I was getting the hang of outlook (long OE user) I have
stubbled on a problem.

How do I add the email addresses from my messages automaticly into a
distribution list I am getting together. I run a newsletter that has over
150 subscribers, the problem is I am now receiving more and more subscribers
that I have to add in manually.

I manually created a list from the email addresses I had, ie the users that
wanted to subscribe......I made a distribution list but I cannot find it.

many thanks in advance

Steve

Thanks for that Russ

I will have a check of that tomorrow, is it easily installed ???

Is there a way I can copy all the address from a previous email in the BCC
to a distribution list. I saved all the addresses from the people who wanted
to join my newsletter and made a distribution list, or so I thought. Emailed
the newsletter but I cant find the distribution list.

cheers

Steve

That depends on your Outlook version and the format of the addresses that
are in the address field of the message. With Outlook 2003 you can copy the
contents of the address field and paste them into the "members" field of a
new Distribution List, but Outlook will only be able to create a DL if the
addresses are in the format of Familiar Name [email address]. In other
words, the address must contain both a name and email address before Outlook
can use the information to create a DL.

The Help File tells you how to do it:
1.. In the e-mail message you want to copy the names from, select the
names in the To or Cc box
2.. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
3.. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Distribution List.
4.. In the Name box, type a name for the distribution list.
5.. Click Select Members.
6.. In the Add to distribution list, right-click, and then click Paste on
