DNS?

OK, I think I'm missing something here.

I registered my domain name through mydomain.com.
I uploaded my website to the webspace provided by my ISP, for the fee I pay
per month.
To finally have the whole thing up and running, mydomain.com is asking me to
put my server's name (DNS).
I called my ISP and asked them for the DNS (after I explained the whole
thing) and they said that they do not give out that info.

Am I missing something?

PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!! :)

Thanks!

you would get the dns from your webhost. if it isn't your isp you need to
get this. usually the host give you this info when you sign up.

When you registered with your ISP they sent you all the information you
needed to run your website.

Primary server hostname
Secondary server hostname
Host (your site name)
Login name
Password.

That should be all you need to run your site if your name has been registered
with your ISP provider. I think mydomain.com wants the 1st item, and you have
to have that or you would not load to your site.

Thanks Tom.

I called in and they said they cannot give me that info, I got kind of
pissed off b/c they just don't give a damn.
They tell me they cannot give me the info I need so I ask them "so, is there
any way you can help me?" and of course, they can't b/c they don't know
shit.
The title "Customer Service Representative" is given to anybody nowadays.
I guess I am forced to change my ISP...
Thanks anyways, I hope I can solve this today.

ooohhh
another thing, I asked them why the forms that I put in my website are not
working. Their server supports FP extensions, you just need to activate it
on your account and I did. They guy and everybody he asked, had no idea
what I was talking about.
PEOPLE!!! DON'T GO WITH COX!!! THEY SUCK!!! (sounds funny)

I have cox they don't give you a dns for webpages. you may be able to
forward from your web page. i park my domain on godaddy and forward to cox
page. or you can get a webhost. i also use arrowhost.net very reasonable.
