I need to go back and look at the other tables. I'm really wrapped up with a
report that has to be done ASAP and it is tricky because there are 7
different group levels that have to be in different orders and
visible/invisible depending on user selection, so I may not get to it until
tomorrow.

If you keep me in your file cabinent, can you drill a couple of air holes?

John can you read the previsous entries plz so I do have to re-type stuff

Yes, it'll be a couple of days though. I have paying consulting work
to do in addition to my unpaid volunteer efforts here.

I'll mark this thread unread and come back to it probably this
weekend.

Have you investigated any sample databases, such as Northwind, to get
an idea how forms work in a worked-out example? I think part of the
problem may be that your expectations aren't aligned with the way
Access works!

Thank you for your patience. I have looked at northwinds and cannot figure
out the layers as far as what came first after the table/form(s) design. That
is probably one of the reasons why I'm still confused. I am in process of
writing a proposal/request to my superiors asking for more one-on-one
assistance in designing the database. I will look at northwinds again and see
what I can figure out. Can you give me an example of 'aligned expectation vs
what access can do'? You may be right
