Do i qualify for an upgrade to office standard 2007

Connie

I currently have Office Standard 2003 Edition for Students and Teachers. I
am trying to determine if I this software is eligible for an upgrade to
Office 2007 - any version.

On the MS web site under Qualifying Products for Upgrade is the following:
"any 2000–2007 Microsoft Office program or suite"... not sure if that
includes my 2003 version.

1) Does your Office 2003 fall in the 2000-2007 range?
2) Is your Office 2003 a Microsoft Office Program or Suite?

Are you being sarcastic? Your response is not particularly helpful...
forgive me if it is a stupid question but I sincerely am not certain. I have
found posts that say it does not qualify and post that say it does...

No, what you have is a qualifying software that permits you to Purchase,
install and use an Upgrade version of Office 2007.

Office XP Student and Teacher is NOT a qualifying software. Office 2003
is NOT Office XP.

Thank you Bob.

Connie, you got good advice in that you do qualify for the upgrade. Now
only one other thing to consider. You must keep the 2003 installation media
once the upgrade takes place in case you ever have to reinstall the software
because of a repair or new computer. You don't have to install the 2003
first, just let the 2007 installation program read the 2003 disk (swap the
disks in the CD/DVD drive when it tells you to) and you are set. I keep all
my qualifying program disks, in their original cases taped to the new
program's original case.
