Do Not have necessary permission to use my database PLEASE HELP

I'm trying to be brave; however, I think I have ruined a year of work. I
don't know what else to do but quit my job and run away to a deserted island!

I accidentally setup security for my Database when I was creating a shortcut
for a client machine to access our Inventory.mdb database on the server. I
now get You do not have the necessary permissions to use this database on all
machines. The Database resides on our server. Currently 3 clients can
access the system as well. My client workstation and the one where I was
trying to create a shortcut has the ability to access Tools> Security>
Workgroup Administrator. The server has this option greyed out. I have read
many other threads and have replaced System.mdw on my client machine at
C:\Documents and Setting\uaserver\application
data\microsoft\access\system.mdw with system.mdw from another client machine
in our organization. I have also replaced system.mdw on the server at
C:\Program files\Common Files\System\system.mdw.
I have gone to Workgroup Administrator on my machine, and tried to join any
and all system.mdw files. I close Access, reopen and still get You do not
have necessary permissions. On one or two attempts I have been able to get
the login box, and used Admin, blank password, but I get Either Logon or
Password is invalid. And now I can't even remember what I did to get to that
point.

Please help if you can.
Thanks Mike

That just isn't possible. If you suspect that you have run the security
wizard then it should have created a backup called Inventory.bak. Try
searching for that.

I found the Inventory.bak. How do I make this the original without security? Do I just delete Inventory.mdb and rename Inventory.bak to Inventory.mdb?
Thanks Mike

That ought to do it but I'd rename the mdb rather than delete it just in
case you end up needing it for some reason.

Keith.
