Do OfficeXP updates requires admin privileges?

When attempting to install the latest security patches for OfficeXP as a
Power User, the installation was not successful. I logged in as an
administrator, and it worked. Is admin privilege a requirement for the
updates?

It depends:
If you install it from CD or from a network share you need to be the
administrator. But when you are using an Administrative Installation
Point, the update can be performed by everyone.

Thanks. We install from a network share. That explains my problem.
