Do some of the updates for Office 2000 work for Office 97

When inquireing about security updates for 97 . Microsoft search engine keeps
pointing me to Office 2000 updates. Any answers out there? I am a contented
Office 97 user and do not wish to up grade to 2000 or better. Works fine
with XP

No, they aren't compatible.

Might you have any Office 2000 products such as FrontPage installed?

When you say "Microsoft search engine", do you mean the Office Update
automatic checker?
