I work for a small landscaping and building company and
have been researching Project 2003. I have a copy of
Project '98 on my computer and it seems to be what we
want. However, herein lies the rub. There are two
computers that will need to have Project on them. These
computers are already networked together. Is it at all
possible to purchase two licenses for Project Standard
2003 and share files between the two? Other Office files
can be shared at the moment. If both computers have the
software is there any reason that a Project file from one
computer cannot be accessed from the other? Is Standard a
single-user-only/no-way-to-share-anything system? (Bucki
and Chefetz who wrote Managing with Microsoft Project 2002
recommend Project Standard for a 'small group setting'
which is another reason I ask.)
We are not trying to run our company using the software,
we just need to create schedules and generally keep track
of projects using the software.
My apologies for the convoluted question. Thank you for
your help.
