Do XP and Access 2000 work together?

I now use an XP and not an win 98. My Access 2000 worked well within 98,yet I
have tried putting Access 2000 in my XP, and I get error mesages. I feel it
works if I open it up through the icon, but that made me nervous, so I have
taken it off. Can I put it back on without that worry?

Access 2000 works fine under WindowsXP (well, 2000 is and was a rather buggy
version, you'ld be better off upgrading to 2003, but that's another issue).

You're getting "error messages". Care to share what they are? Security is
tighter under XP (and still more so under Vista) and you may need to tweak
your settings - but without knowing what errors you're facing it's hard to say
how to solve them!

Thanks, I don't remember what the messages were. I do remember that when I
had it on, I could run Access, yet I had to open it only a certain way. At
the time I was just more afraid of messing up the computer. I am working more
on SQL Server, so Access is more in the back burner in case I changed jobs,
and I had to know Access. It may be better to buy Access 2007, but I am low
on funds.
