If you use the delayed message feature will the message be sent if you are
not in outlook?

Then yes it will work even if you are not in outlook, as the server will
handle it for you. It's the same thing with the out of office
assistant. You turn it on, set your autoreply message, shut down your
computer (which means you are not in outlook), go on your vacation, and
the server sends the autoreplies for you. If you want to be really
sure, then test it. Set your delayed message to send to a friend nearby
in outlook. Close outlook then on your computer, go to your friend's
desk and see if it sends the message. But it should work fine. Hope
this helps.

How do I set this feature on my server. We once had this feature, but when
we upgraded our Office Suite we lost it. We have already activated out of
office assistance, but I am having trouble finding where I can turn on the
feature to send delayed messages while not being logged in.
Maybe it being Friday my brain is shutting down.
Anymore deatils would be wonderful

Hello again, sorry for the delayed response, as I do not frequent this
group often. I don't know the server side enough in oder to help you
get this feature back, so you may want to try posting in an exchange
group with your question. Good luck!

Are you referring to the Email Options and "Do not deliver before"? If
so, then when you create an email, click the "Options..." command and
you'll find it.

WE know how to work delayed messages
The problem is with our upgrade to office 2003. Exchange is not managing
this function anymore. When I mean anymore is that you have to be looged
into e-mail for delayed messages to work. If you are not logged in delay
messages stay in the ourbox until yout log back, thus losing a GREAT feature
of sending reminders while out of the office.
So you know about the settings on the exchange server to fix this problem we
now have after our upgrade, perhaps a bug not fixed yet?

If that is what you need then I recommend you post in one of the
Exchange newsgroups since that's where the Exchange experts hang out.
