Do you shut down your Macbook Pro when you are not using it?

This is a question to which there is no definitive answer -- You'll get a
somewhat different response from just about everyone you ask :)

IMO, there is very little reason for anyone to leave *any* computer powered
on 24/7/365, whether it be a laptop or desktop system. If it isn't going to
be used for several hours -- such as over night -- shut it down. At the
least, shut down/restart once or twice per week.

Modern operating systems do a certain amount of "housekeeping" during
startup/shutdown which doesn't happen during 'sleep'. Unless you take the
necessary steps to get that stuff done it can contribute to odd behaviors.

I boot ny MacBook once a month. It is on the rest of the time. I never
shut it down - at night it sleep just like me
