DOC File is too big

I have a small word 2002 document. I inserted 2 JPGs
(89k+350Kb). The document became 350 KB. Great\

I give this document to another user, she deletes a JPG,
pastes another 340KB JPG and saves with a different name.
Her document is 7MB !!!!! What's wrong here? Why her
files are much bigger.

You said "pastes"

That's a dirty word when it comes to graphics in some cases.

Delete the pasted graphic, choose Insert, Picture, From File and bring the
graphic in that way.
Make sure fast saves is OFF and resave the file (or better yet, Save As to a
new name)
