.doc page Format messes up

I have a document that is 49 pages long. It contains
word procession, graphics, and tables.

When I go into the .doc the page formatting is messed
up. the top on one page is a the bottom of the page
before it. I keep correcting the error and then print.
When I close and open again, the same thing has
happened. Sometimes I move the top of one page from the
bottom of the page before it and then save and print and
the print job contains the same error.

It is a group of about 15 pages that continue to mess
up. Is there any way to get the page formatting
to "stick" in place so I don't have to worry about the
formatting every time I open the .doc file?

This can be a symptom of document corruption; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm. Or it could just be that
the document is too complex and hence unstable. If you can make the graphics
inline rather than wrapped, that will probably help.
