Document Image Writer No Longer Allows MDI as Output

Jay

After installing Office 2007 RTM, when I print to the Document Image Writer
print driver I only have an option to save as a tiff. The option to save as
mdi is gone. This was available in Office 2003.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi Jay,

If you open MS Office Document Imaging and go into
Tools=>Options=>Other=>File Import Preferences
what Output format is selected?

That did it! The option was set to tiff. Thank You!

Odd that the 2003 version had both options when saving, now you need to
choose one.

How do I open the Document image program in vista? it is not listed as any of
the office programs. the instructions are useless if you cannot get to the
program

This is not a program listed in the Office Group.

To find the location, simply use the search in Vista and type "Microsoft
Office Document Image". Then run the file. Just in case you do not know how
to run the search, click start, then just type, your cursor is automatically
in the search area.

The long way is to navigate to: "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start
Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office\Microsoft Office Tools" and run it from there.
