I read several comments on this issue and followed the instructions I found
to install this in Office 2007. The installation appears to have been
completed, however when I open the program and go to scan, I get an error
message and the programs has to close. I select to send the error
information to microsoft hopefully they can fix this issue. Has anyone else
had this issue and if so how did you get it resolved?

Microsoft Document Scanning has encountered a problem and needs to close,
sorry for any inconvience..

I hate to nag, but there is a details button on these type errors. Is your
scanner driver current?

I guess so, the scanner works with other programs, what is the best way to
tell.

The scanner worked fine when I was using this program with office 2003, but
the issues are occurring since I am using 2007

Update the scanner driver from the manufacturer's web site.

Scan your documents independent of the Imaging program, save as a .tiff. If your
scanner didn't come with a OCR utility, open the .tif in the Document Imaging
program and use the OCR utility.
