Using Office XP and Windows XP, fully patched.
I use document imaging a lot in my job - mostly for the OCR capabilities.
All of a sudden today it started hanging with 85-99% CPU usage any time I
tried to make a change to a document (i.e. rotate a page, run OCR, etc.) I
can still view, but all the other options cause a lethal hang which can only
be stopped by ending the process.
As far as I know, nothing has changed on this system since Friday. Any
ideas about what might be wrong or what can be done to fix the issue?
