Document Imaging lost from Print Drivers: Update errors?

In the last week or two, I found MS Document Imaging lost from my Print
Drivers on our Win XP PC. Are update errors causing trouble?

What can I do to prevent MDI driver elimination?

Hopefully, we can re-install from the Ofc 2003 disc!
