Document Imaging or Scanning - does not see Visioneer 8700 USB

Hello --

Scanner > Choose Scanner shows no scanner in the dropdown menu.

Is the Visioneer 8700 too old to be recognized?

Can anyone help me get this scanner to work with these 2 applications?

Office scanning still does not see the scanner.

Hi Larry,

MS Office Document Imaging has a somewhat limited list
of resources it knows (Office 2003's edition is better
than the Office XP edition at this). You may want to try
using a TWAIN driver vs. the MS WI driver interface to
see if that makes a difference if you can't create a
new preset in Office scanning.

From the other side, if you use the default scanning app
for the scanner and choose the 'Send to' option, does it
find MS Office Document Imaging as a choice?
