Someone sent me a Word article, created in Word 2000. I saved it on my
computer. It was in Online Layout view in my Word 97. I changed it to
Normal view, made other changes, and saved and closed it. When I opened
it again, it opened in Online view. I've tried the same several times
and it keeps opening in Online view. I thought maybe the document might
have an AutoOpen macro that makes it open that way, but I checked and it
has no macros of its own.
The only oddity I can find is that in the Project Explorer, the document
project has a references folder, and under this references folder there
is an item that says "Reference to Normal." I don't know what this
means, but maybe the clue lies here.
In any case, I'd like to know the reason for this mysterious behavior.
