document (letterhead) comes up as locked.How do I release?

How do I release when my document carries the data that the document is
locked, and I cannot proceed with the work. Specifically, my letterhead, and
means I cannot write a letter.

might be that the
letterhead is a template
and read only.

my guess is that you
might have to save
that protected template
as a document so that
it can editable.

otherwise, you may
need to contact the
author of that letterhead.

hmm?
seems to be one an
instance of painting
oneself into a corner.

to my knowledge there
are two places that
may interfere.

one is the special
save options. there
is usually a button
made available when
you save a document
and want extra features.

the other is that you
can go to toolbars
and open the form tool.
in it you will find a
"lock" icon that can
unprotect the document.

And yet i think there is
still another. but see
of one of the two above
helps.

my guess is that you didnt
add a field that is unprotected
and used as a user input for
the base of your letter.
