Document Management database design

I have been asked to create a Document Management database, so used Arvin
Meyer's sample database (many thanks, Arvin) as a start to collect the file
names and paths. But the users want to be able to add any number of
keywords to search on, based on information in the document, not just the
filename or path. They will aso continue to add files to the folders.

Has anyone designed something that that who could give me an idea of how to
set up a database to do this? Currently there are about 500 documents, and
even though the folder structure is fairly good as far as finding a document
goes, they want to be able to look for all files containing the word
"Stephens", or "Fidelity" etc. So the database has to be able to maintain
an unspecified number of keywords for each document, but rather than type
them in for each of the 500 documents, choose them from a list or something
that can be added to.

I would be most grateful for any leads, links, ideas, screenshots, etc
Thanks,
Mich
