Document not available

[Genghis]

Aftre reinstalling Office XP and upgrading the package, I am unable to open "Word" files which I created earlier using the same version of 'Word". I get the message: "The file Genghis 2003 is not available". Yet all my douments are in the directory. Can anybody please help. Many thanks.
